Hello from Rebuild Resources

Happy 6th Birthday Google Grants! We have entered our third year as a Google Grant recipient and wanted to show our gratitude by illustrating some of the amazing results your program has helped our organization achieve.

Just to remind you, Rebuild Resources is a nonprofit social enterprise with a mission to help addicts and alcoholics be sober, self-sufficient and of service by providing meaningful, transitional employment in business enterprises we own and operate. These enterprises provide a safe, sober, secure, supportive, but non-enabling environment for recovery, and serve as the economic engines which sustain our work. Our business enterprises are currently two-fold: A Custom Apparel and Promotions business, and a Contract Manufacturing operation.

An evaluation conducted by Wilder Research has concluded that 68% of our graduate respondents achieved long-term sobriety and stable housing. In addition, three Minnesota Commissioners of Corrections have concurred that,"...every Rebuild graduate potentially saves the taxpayers of Minnesota over $500,000 in terms of long-term welfare, medical expenses, and incarceration expenses.”

A Great 2008!

2008 was a successful year for Rebuild Resources, both in our business enterprises, and through positive outcomes for our program participants. “Business growth” for Rebuild means more recovering alcoholics and addicts have access to the most powerful social program of all: a job.

The benefits the Google Grants program has given us in terms of Business growth is evident. The Graph below illustrates the consistent rise in annual revenues of our CAP(Custom Apparel and Promotions) division over the last three years. This has been a direct result of receiving the Google Grant in 2007.

We track all incoming sales leads using Google Analytics and salesforce.com CRM. Our data show that more than 90% of the revenue increases in 2007 and 2008 were directly attributable to Google Grants-funded AdWords campaigns.
